PET/CT stands out as one of the most efficient imaging techniques available today.

It proves highly effective in oncology for diagnosing tumours, determining the extent of tumour spread, planning radiotherapy, assessing treatment response, and, at times, distinguishing between benign and malignant masses.

PET/CT is the result of the combination of PET (positron emission tomography), which reveals the metabolic functioning of organs and tissues in the human body, and CT (computed tomography), providing detailed anatomical information.
